How my journey began

I’m Mandy, a compassionate coach specializing in helping clients live more healthily, joyfully and presently.

I’ve spent much of my life supporting, helping, and guiding people at all stages of their lives, from living more healthily to dying more peacefully.

I’ve worked in a variety of roles centered around health and healing: I’m a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society, an Integral Associate coach with Integral Coaching Canada (ICC,) a trained Clinical Hypnotherapist and have worked in roles including a Smoking Cessation counsellor for the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK, an Occupational Psychologist for the UK Government, and a Reflexologist in my own practice.

I worked for number of years as an end of life doula in North Bay area of San Francisco. It is through bringing what I have learnt from the dying into my work as a Compassionate Coach that has led me to help clients identify what truly matters to them so they can lead the life they both want and deserve.

Through my own personal practice of diving deeply into meditation and inner growth work, I have realized just how important and sacred it is to acknowledge life as a spiritual being having a human experience. From my early days working as a psychologist and becoming a mother of two children, both bedrocks of my life, it became abundantly clear that our society does not handle understanding our emotions, feelings, and different states of consciousness at all well. Society can be quick to pathologize our personality structures if they do not fit the norm or what is deemed ‘acceptable’ to many. I want to do all I can to help people navigate their inner exploration with self-compassion, courage and calmness.

I take a heart-centered approach with clients, and I am a big advocate and practitioner of meditation, Enneagram, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) which I have brought together in my coaching approach.

I grew up on a farm in rural Derbyshire, UK, the youngest of five. I have a deep love of animals, nature, being in the countryside, lifelong learning and I’m grateful for the small things in life. My home moves have taken me across the Atlantic several times, and  in 2016 I moved across the United States from the East Coast to the West Coast where I now live with my husband, and daughter. Sometime soon I’d love to adopt another pup, but in the meantime a feral cat has adopted us and is rapidly becoming a permanent addition to our family.

The Monarch Butterfly

Monarch Butterfly

During the pandemic, my family bonded over raising Monarch butterflies. We witnessed nature's constant evolution—from tiny eggs to caterpillars weaving their own chrysalises and emerging finally as butterflies. Amidst this process, we were so inspired by the Monarchs' unwavering determination, finding joy in the cyclical wonder of transformation. This newfound appreciation for the preciousness of life has shaped the butterfly into a personal emblem, resonating not only for me but also for my work with clients.
